how to candle eggs ?

    Anyone know of a good way to candle an egg ? i tried and candle and it didnt work very well [​IMG]

    I am sure there are better ways, but I have been just using a bright flashlight and my hand! I have had really good luck so far!

    This is real high tec but I use a black plastic nursery pot... put black electricians tape on all the holes except the bottom one (dont tell my husband) and then turn it upside down with a light inside...

    I made a homemade funnel and attatched a heavy duty flashlight. For eggs with thicker shells (I have one of those), I'm using an toilet paper tube and a flashlight. Candling tonight, Day 6. Good luck!

    I find that it is easier to see into the egg if you shine the light down through the air cell. And I just use a flashlight. [​IMG]

    I use a toilet paper roll and duct tape with a hole made in it. I shine light through on end. It works, lol.
