I have a gold-laced wyandotte sitting on 11 store-bought fertile eggs and would love to know if anything is happening in there. She got them on the 6th, so I would think there would be growth if there's going to be any. My question is how do I candle them since I don't want to remove them from the nest for more than a minute or so, in case she suddenly returns and I have to try to put it back under her. She's a very growly, aggressive broody and I'd risk losing fingers and/or eyes trying anything with her eggs while she's sitting on them. I can open up the egg box and sneak a few out, but not going away from the nest. How should I check for life? Thanks!
