How to charge customers for shipping eggs?

Ive had some requests to ship my eggs.
I've googled how to pack them etc... but Im wondering how you charge the customer? How do I know how much it will cost before hand?
Do I have to take a dozen eggs and some boxes and head to post office for weighing etc???
Seems like a lot of work. LOL

Any tips? Ideas?

How you do it is go with a certain size box that ships for the same price no matter what the weight is. That way, you always know what your shipping costs will be. Go to the post office and get a few of their boxes and try them out at home and see how many eggs you feel comfortable fitting in each one.

Or just charge a flat 8-10 dollar rate. Many people do.
