How to feed chicks grit

    This may be a dumb question, but....when you give chicks grit, do you sprinkle it in their food or put it in a seperate bowl and let them eat it as they may?

    The info I got from MMH was to sprinkle it on the food like salt..... That is what we did and it seems to be working great!!

    I was wondering about this as well... when we gave the babies mealworms this weekend, I sprinkled it on the pile of worms, and they seemed to scoop it right up, almost like instinct. It's amazing how animals seem to know just what they need sometimes!
