I think my chick has curled-toe paralysis. I left for three days with a friend feeding the chicks and came back to find her unable to stand, toes curled, and holding out her wings to help her stay balanced. She walks on her haunches but collapses over. She eats and drinks well, but I noticed she was only eating green lentils out of the feed I gave her, not all of the components.

I think it might be B2 deficiency. So, I bought poly-vi-sol as well as a B2 liquid vitamin. How do I get her to take it?

I add vitamins or medicines to their water. They have no choice but to take them. If you want that chick to get it but no others, just put her in a cage with the water and she will drink it when she gets thirsty.

It is hard to control the dosage in water, so I usually put a drop onto a treat (egg yolk or a bit of bread works well because it sort of soaks up the liquid) and feed it that way.

I hope Ms. Curly Toes gets better!
