How to get hens to lay in an egg box?

We have tried wooden eggs, and we have the egg boxes set up, but our hens still won't lay in the box. How do we get them to?

Hi you might want to try putting a golf ball or fake ball into the nesting box and make sure you are using a comfortable bedding. I use hay/straw. Once one lays in it the others are bound to. You also might want to look online on youtube or something because they have good tips. Hope I helped!

I put a portable nest where they currently lay eggs and they happily use it. After a couple days i start to move it towards the real nest box - little each day.
Then just remove the portable box
