how to help if yolk isn't absorbed

    I had a chick like that sent from meyers, it didn't make it, but maybe if you separate it and let it rest, I had a baby turkey like that once, but it was more just a belly button.

    sometimes that happens if they get help.

    oh by the way the turkey did make it.

    She pipped yesterday then struggled for about 24hrs. While I was out the humidity dropped in the incubator and the membrane started to shrivel and suffocate her then it was stuck like this :(

    the membrane should shrivel and get smaller, don't try to cut it off leave it be and see what happens.

    the chick needs it to dry up so take it out.

    If you leave the chick in a moist hatcher, with the membrane it will not go away.
