We have been keeping a rescued chukar for a while now. One of her talons broke off, and we fear she stay with us to long to return to the wild.
We have kept her on a table in an old cage we used to use for some of our pigeons and chickens, as of now due to the cold our chickens are sleeping in the same garage as she lives, I heard that chickens can easily kill chukar due to the diseases they carry, is this true?
We are wondering if there is anything we can do to make her more content with her living space? Should I make an outside living space for her or should I continue to keep her inside? Should I buy a perch for her? What sort of vitamans, antibiotics, and food should I think of?
