Pasta alla carbonara is a typical dish from Rome but it's very popoular throughout Italy.

    Ingredients for 5 people:
400 g Spaghetti (but you can use any type of pasta)
    2 eggs
    2 onions
ham steak (the original recipe wants bacon but ham steak contains less calories [IMG])
    Parmesan cheese
chili pepper (the original recipe wants black pepper)

First of all cut the onions and cook them with oil in a pan.

After few minutes add the chopped ham steak and let them cook.

At the same time cook the Spaghetti

Then break the eggs and beat them

Once Spaghetti is ready, drain it and stir it with beaten eggs, onions, ham steak and granted Parmesan cheese

Finally if you want, you can add some chili pepper

I'll have to try your recipe out. I like eating pasta, and this will be a way to use up a couple more of the eggs. When I make spaghetti, my chickens get some of the plain noodles. It is fun to watch them with it.
