I bought a patch of st Augustine grass for the girls at Home Depot. After I got home I noticed it said not for animal consumption. Is there a way to make the grass safe or should I just return it?

Return it and grow your own poultry-friendly grass in a grazing frame.

They had access to it for 10 minutes. I hope they're ok.

I took it away from them and everything seemed to be fine. Now I buy them cat grass at the pet store as a treat!

A lot cheaper to buy a small bale of alfalfa and toss them a flake every few days.
