The 1's On Top Are Definately Roos... The 1's Who Lay Eggs Are Definately Hens.

Tennesee Reds?! Run for the hills! [IMG] I had no idea what I was getting into when I hatched a few of them, as they are an agressive breed of Bobs. But I love them no different than any of the others I have.

The males have the darker mask and the females have the buff colored face.

I dont know why everyone thinks TN Reds are aggressive? Mine aren't.. [IMG]

TN Red male will have a black throat, while hens have a white throat.

You Cant Sex Tn Reds By Throat Colors In Most Cases NOR DO THEY GENERALLY HAVE THE FACIAL MARKING OTHER BOBS HAVE. THEY ARE NOT A COLOR SEXABLE BIRD.

Quote:THIS IS A MOST COMMON TN RED. MANY TIMES THEY WILL HAVE WHITE BIBS AS WELL. ANYTHING THAT HAS FACIAL COLORING OR OTHER READILY DISCERNABLE SEX FEATURE ARE CROSS BRED AND NOT PURE STRAIN BIRDS

I used to have a pair of them and they didn't have any markings that I could sex them by. I ended up separating the four of them and whichever one layed an egg was a hen.
