I've received adult chickens via mail, but I have never been the sender, what are some tricks or tips and what do I need to do differently to ship a pair of Common Shelducks?

Please and Thank You!

I've done quite a few searches but haven't found anything as to if I should put anything in the box feed or water wise? Anyone?

I have never shipped a duck or any other kind of bird, but I feel bad that nobody is answering you! You may want to check the post office's website (usps.com). They might have some information. Or you could call the post office and ask... I'm sure they have all kinds of rules and suggestions for shipping live animals. I know you're not supposed to ship water with the birds because it would just spill in the box and be useless anyway, not to mention leaving your mailman with a soggy box to deliver. I would think you'd have to ship them overnight, but that's just a guess.

What I did when I shipped adult lives was to tie wrap a coop cup inside the box and put some high-water content fruit and veggies in it. That way, if the fruit/veggies started to degrade-there was water in the cup and also food.
Tomatoes, melon, peas, peaches, lettuce...like that. Also, check your temp on both ends and in between.
