Hunting season is here and apparently my bantam rooster starts crowing every time my brother walks past the coop to go hunting. I tried covering the windows of the coop last fall and that didn't seem to work I also tried putting him in a covered cage in the coop, but I think it's the sound of him walking past more than his head lamp that's bothering my rooster. Short of sticking him in a cage in the house, what else can I do to keep him quiet? I've bought a couple no crow collars. The first one worked... until my rooster pecked it until it came off. The 2nd set I bought came in 2 sizes. 1 was comically large, much to wide for his little neck and the other was too small around to put on him w/o choking him. I've looked online and they have so many different kinds, I'm not really sure which one to get. Has anyone bought one that they felt fit well? Any other suggestions on what I can do to keep him quiet until sunrise?
