How to tell chick's gender???

How do you tell without vent sexing? One of my Barred Rocks is 4 days old and has a bit of a tail, is that bad? I'm worried! My BA's wings are almost fully feathered at 4 days old!!

the other one's have some wing feathers, and no tails yet. I hope their all pullets!

With the baby BR, you can usually tell if it's female if it is mostly black with a defined white spot on its head and a darkish wash down the fronts of its legs.
