How to tell how healthy a Bearded Belgian d'Uccle is?

Hi,
I've been thinking of getting a Bearded Belgian d'Uccle, I am wondering if there are any major traits or things like that that I should be looking for, to tell me whether the bird is healthy?
If you have a pic/diagram I would appreciate seeing it!
