I am turning a storage shed into a coop and need to know this.
No narrower than 2" -- 3-5" is comfortable for most birds. And at least 8-12" of roost length per bird.
Good luck, have fun,
Quote:Could I get away with a 2 x 1 board for Sebrights? They're awfully small.... I'm fixing up a plastic Little Tyke Playhouse for a banty "coop" and I have the PERFECT piece of wood for a roost if that will do for bantam breeds.
