How do you think these guineas would do in a show? I have never entered anything in a poultry show or even been to one so I don't know how it works so if you could tell me what you have to do in order to enter and stuff. I live in NC.
Just say what guinea you think would do best. Say Picture 1, 2, 3 like that.[IMG]
    Thanks,
    Ashley
1 is a male pearl pied.
    2 is a male white.
3 is a male coral blue.
4 is a female royal purple pied.
    5 is a female buff.

Number 1 is a Pearl Pied.
Number 4 is a Royal Purple Pied.

I'm not sure on the Show Potential on any of them but I LOVE the Buff Guinea Hen. [IMG]

I really have no idea because I don't show my birds... but I'd imagine you'd want to make sure they have correctly shaped and even wattles for the sex they are, good meat/flesh in the breast area and are in the proper weight range, healthy feathers, tidy toenails and beak, clean nostrils and bright eyes etc [IMG]

This might help, check this link out:

I love how humans are so judgemental. Like we should deduct peoples values for stray hair.

Quote:I seen nothing wrong with that Standard for Guinea Fowl. (Just think of the Laced Chicken breeds! That standard is LONG! I thought I was gonna die when I read the Standard for a Silver Laced Sebrights when I showed them.)
If you have a healthy Guinea bird you should be good to go!

Number 2 is the only one that meets the standard for color. The others are not recognized colors, only pearl (not pied), white and lavender are accepted.
