I'm just curious here... what is the youngest a hen can be and actually go broody?

Well, they have to be laying. [IMG] I believe it varies from hen to hen and breed to breed, but probably after a few weeks of laying?

My hens were born March 1 give or take a couple days. Started laying at 4 months and have 1 Hen very Broody right now (5 months). She didn't lay many eggs, I collected them, and now she still won't get up from the nest.
