How young do roosters start trying to crow?

Mine are only 5 weeks old and just spent their first night in the coop. When I went out early this morning I could have sworn I heard someone trying to crow (I'm pretty sure I have a Cuckoo Roo)! I was a bit surprised. Is this normal this young?

Most of my roos don't start until about 3 or 4 months old, but I had a bantam cochin roo crowing in the brooder at 4 weeks old!

I have heard stories of babies under week old trying to crow, but I think that is very unusual.

I have had them crow as young as 5 days(banty cochin) usual 2 1/2 - 3 months....later if there is a dominant roo with them
