Hi, I'm raising ducks and hens. Originally it was for eggs and pets, but do to some mistakes on both my part and the hatchery, I will most likely butcher and process some.Both of my flock that became pets met with unfortunate circumstances. A chicken named Tina Turtle (my toddler named her and meant "Teenage Ninja Turtles") was sick and got eaten by a cat, and my poor duck Walter got his leg pinned by the tray on a shotty pre-fab coop injuring her leg. She goes to the vet tomorrow and I'm hoping for a miracle (I think the hip is broken) The rest of my flock is doing grand. I'm glad to be a member of this illustrious group now as I have many questions!

Thank you everybody. Update, the vet says that they may amputate the leg of my duck Walter. I have a big choice to make
