my rir's are laying and the average size has been around 1.7-2.0 oz per egg, this morning though I found a BIG egg that weighed in at 3.0 oz the other eggs in the carton look tiny in comparison and I cant close the box LOL will be seeing how it tastes tommorrow morning at breakfast.

I used to have a hen who laid Monster eggs. I took one of the largest to the feed store (just to prove I hadn't been lying) and they weighed it in at 4 ounces.

    Sure miss that hen!
