In the pictures the small egg for comparison is from our Jersey Giant and the Huge Egg is from our White Rock (the one in my avatar-Ms. Peckins). She has always laid either very large eggs or long torpedo looking eggs and often they are double yolks. I usually have to store them separate because the carton won't close, LOL!!

Just wanted to share.

I have one hen doing this as well…. her eggs are 90+g and very round, but never double-yolked. They tend to have small yolks and excessive albumin, and really prominent chalazae. I’ve been wondering if there’s something wrong or if that’s just normal for her….

Our smallest hen, Laverne, always lays the biggest eggs but yesterday she laid one so HUGE that it wont fit into the carton! We have two Red Sexlinks and two Black Sexlinks; the BSL always lay the smallest eggs; the two RSL eggs are generally large to XL but not huge. This is the second huge one Laverne has laid.
