I have 22 chicken eggs in my LG incubator and so far, so good. I was having trouble with humidity, so we added half a sponge, now humidity is at 60%. They are on day 7-should I remove the sponge to lower humidity?

anyone??

I don't use a hygrometer, I just go by the instructions for my hovabator and by how much the windows fog up

But.... I've read some very good advice on here about keeping humidity at around 40% til lockdown and then raising it to about 60%. If you run a search you'll find lots of threads about "dry incubation" and other methods. If you're feeling technical, there are also charts available showing proper size of the air pockets at various stages. If your air pockets look right, you're on track.

Hi, Im a newbie on my first hatch, so dont take my advice, but I have a Brisnea 20 and I have had mine at 35-40 and now am raising slowly to the 50-60s. I am going into days 16. I am also hoping this is right?

Good luck with yours:))
