I went into lockdown last night and put the incubator at 65% humidity and went to bed. When I went to check on the bator this morning it was at 85% and some eggs were even went. Nothing has pipped yet, but could that have drowned any of them? I've had temperature spikes but never humidity.

I think you will be OK but it needs to come down, take out one of the vent plugs & see if that helps.

The vent plugs were out. . . I now have it propped open a tiny bit to keep it around 60. I'm hoping to be able to shut it completely soon.

keep in mind when that 1st egg hatches its going to go up a little more, being in Georgia you probably didn't need a whole lot of water. try to keep it at about 65% in lock down.
