what should the humitidy be days 1-18 for chicken eggs
Someone just told me yesterday that they keep theirs at 40 to 50 percent for the first 18 days and for the last three days they up the humidity to 60 - 70 %!
thank you !!! I think mine is a little high about 55.... can't seem to get anything right this hatch, didnt have this problem with the last one
Try to get it alot lower...empty out some water...
the last hatch i couldn't get it high enought, this is one is way to high, could it have anything to do with the non-slip stuff i put on the bottom ?
Go read this. Really commit it to memory:
I've never used anything on my wire bottom of the bator so I can't answer that one...
I will say sometimes the humidity around your house has alot to do with bator humidity at different seasons of the year....

I say that everyone has their own way of geting the humidity up or down..My incubator runs around 55% give or take a couple of degrees ( as can be seen, if you look at my hatching chart on the web page) then on day 18 into the hatcher they go with the humidity at 75%, I am running between 80 and 85% hatch rate..
Which is OK with me
