humongous egg

    somehow a pterodactyl got into the nest boxes last night & layed an egg....

    Oh my, it was quite large! Should I be concerned?? lol

    Might be a double yolker. Lots of chickens do this. As far as I know, it causes no problem.

    phew, I was thinking I might need to get some sewing needle & a thread & give her a few stitches down there..... lol

    once when my girls had just started laying one of them layed a huge egg and we found it amongst the tiny pullet eggs. it had no double yolk but was quite large.
