We found a wild plum tree out back of the property that is just overloaded with fruit.

I've only got one fairly basic plum jam recipe. Any suggestions?

oh you can dry them and make prunes and prune bread

When I make jam i always add a very finly cut up piece of plum, apricot, or pluott skin this acts as natural pectin and then you dont need to add any, it also adds a tangyness to it.

I wish my plum trees would bloom, not for a few more years I am afraid, but what a great find. I will be keeping and eye on this thread to see all the great suggestions.
