Can anyone suggest a good hydrometer and where I can get it.
Mine is non digital brand name Taylor and I found it at the local hardware store, so far so good. It only cost my $7.99
I have a digital AcuRite Humidity/Temperature bought at Wal-Mart for $9.
The correct word is "hygrometer."
Measuring instrument for measuring the relative humidity of the atmosphere.
An hydrometer is a measuring instrument for determining the specific gravity of a liquid or solid.
I didn't know that when I first started incubating eggs, either.
Okay, so where did you get a good HYGROMETER!!!!!
Sorry, I just find that funny because I was calling it a hygrometer earlier tonight and my hubby corrected me and said it was a hydrometer.
Anyway where can I get a good one? What is a good brand? I have the one you can buy at Wal mart. I also have one I got from cigar shop. Honestly I don't thin either one is accurate. Every time I go in there it says the humidity has changed drastically. Not to mention before I put them in there was a 10 degree discrepancy. So I would like to know where I can actually get one that I can trust in.
Thanks for your help,
I'm reading the instructions to my new incubator and it spells it H Y G R O M E T E R so tell your husband ... lol
Unless of course the instructions could of misspelled it in which case .......never mind (grin)
