Hygrometer recalibration question

    Well, I just put my hygrometer in with the salt last night and I looked at it this morning and it said that it was 69% so it would be six points low. I left it in the bag with the water and salt and came back home and after about 24 hours it reads 72% WHich should I go off of? the shorter time or the longer time?
