As I was watching my 7 new baby chicks I noticed one of them was getting picked on.
Over the past week of having these chicks, I’ve also noticed she is the smallest.
She is a Top Hat (Polish) Chicken and we got two of them the other one mostly picks on her and is much bigger.
What should I do?
I’m scared that she might be getting weaker and I do not want her to die. She is a super cute little one!

Here is a side by side picture of them: (both polish chicks)

*ligher yellow/white one is the one who’s getting picked on and the grey/black is the one who mostly picks on her*

Don’t separate her, it will make her lonely and deppres3d and she could eventually die from it, the bigger one is probably just pecking her because he is bigger, it shouldn’t be a problem. The bigger one will soon realize that he is a little chick just like his “sister”;)

I have 38 chicks that i hatched and are now between 1 and 3 weeks old with a couple shy of a week. There is a lot of bickering and pecking as is in the adult flock. I would just watch her and as long as she is still eating and drinking and they are not getting violent she should be fine in my opinion. As @crazy4ChickensNducks stated above do not separate her. No only could it cause her depression it will also be a head ache reintroducing her to the flock. The pecking and bickering can be much worse later in life because she will be a "NEW" bird to the flock and they will have to establish their pecking order with her which could seriously result in injury if not careful. Just keep an eye out. You know your birds better then anyone.
