My eggs went on lockdown yesterday and it’s so dang hard to wait for them!

Some of them candled really well, like this one.

I have 35 eggs in. Hopefully I’ll get good odds and they’ll survive. 🤞🏻

The one pictured is a celadon. I’ve got 18 of them and 17 Pharoah. :bun
Humidity was ~55% and now is ~68. I live in UT so it’s hard to maintain it. I’m just hoping they’ve got enough water in there to be ok under the end!

Super exciting! I literally couldn't sleep when mine went into lock down. We are heading into winter here in South Africa so I was a little nervous about keeping the temperature in the brooder correct but so far so good. :wee

I also want to get into Celadon ❤ .... bought a homozygotous male recently and will start to breed heterozygotous birds to set them back to the father. Hopefully getting some homozygotous hens by antum.

But don't worry about huminity till end. As soon as the first are hatching, huminity raise automaticlly by these little wet fuzzballs. Just do not open too soon, to put the chicks into the brooder. They can feed up to 48h by the yold after hatch.

15 little babies fluffed up and 19 still hatching in the incubator.
I had to go back to work today (elementary school—kids are starting to turn in materials) and it was brutal leaving them this morning! When I left I only had three in the brooder.
These fuzz balls are so sweet and friggin adorable. I spent the rest of my day cuddling them in turns.

Not the greatest picture of me; it was a looong day.
