I almost got a silkie last weekend!

    I was at the Asian supermarket & they had silkies in their frozen case. I don't know why you'd bother - there's about as much meat on that thing as there is on a pigeon!

  8. It is believed in the Asian culture that "Black chicken soup" has healing properties for all sorts of things from artritis to other ailments. I was at a show one time and approached by a group of Asian college kids who had no idea what a Silkie was. When I went into the spill about them having purple skin and bones, they all started hollaring about "oh thats black skin chicken" and then proceeded to tell me how/why they cooked it.
