Here I am, sitting here inside the living room, when all of a sudden it started pouring like crazy! I look out the window and Juliet, my serama, and her two babies are pressed up against the outside wall of the coop. Hubby is in the garage with the ONLY umbrella. Well, I couldn't leave them there! I ran outside, grabbed the babies, ran to the coop, and tossed them into a dry corner that wasn't taken by anybody else. I turned around and, of course, Juliet didn't follow, so I had to run and grab her, toss her into the coop with her babies, and then count my fingers (she is one bad mama). I started to run back to the house. Since I was already soaked to the skin, I detoured to find the other mama, Chrissie. She is under cover in the coop with one baby while the other three are huddled outside the coop behind the door - the poor things couldn't figure out how to go around! I caught them, tossed them in with mom. Soaking wet clothes are in the tub, shoes are at the front door, and now all is well. There should be a smilie for patting myself on the back!
