I am incubating Muscovy eggs. They have been in the incubator for 6 days, definitely changing. I see veining today. Could anyone please take a look?

Happy Sunday to all!

I am currently incubating 8 Muscovy eggs. Day 1 I obviously saw nothing and each day they are changing. Today I noticed that they have red spider like veining. I wasn’t sure if they would be fertilized or viable due to the fact this is the mother’s first clutch.
Could someone please take a look at today’s photos and give me their opinion?
I’m still a novice, I’ve only incubated Wood Duck eggs starting at 10 days old approximately due to the mother being killed by a fox. I have never incubated from day one.
This group has helped me tremendously with my first ducklings and I’m hoping that I will still get some help from the many knowledgeable people here!
Also, is there any way to post a video here? 😊

Blessings!
Amy

These eggs are day 6? They look pretty good! There might be a couple blood rings in there, but it'll be easier to tell in another week or so if there are or not. Did you calibrate a thermometer to check the internal temp of the incubator?

It appears that you have a batch of fertile/developing eggs.
That would be such a blessing! Thank you so much for your reply! We adore our Muscovy ducks and they are literally part of our family. I know that they won’t all make it, but it’s such a joy to watch life begin. I know I’m candling too much, but I can’t seem to help myself. Lol!
Have a blessed day. 🥰

Hi!
Yes, the temperature is 37.8 degrees. It’s a forced air incubator that I put water in the bottom. I have no way of determining the humidity. When I ordered the incubator it said that I could check the humidity, but I can’t. Honestly, I don’t know how I could change it if it wasn’t the correct humidity. The water is always kept to the line and I never let it go any lower.
The eggs are automatically turned every 90 minutes, and as you can see I have not cleaned them.
On day 1 I saw nothing, but they are most definitely changing daily.
Today I saw veins for the first time.
The eggs went into the incubator Monday night at 11:00 pm, she must have laid them between 9:00 - 11:00. She was not sitting on them because she laid 3 more Tuesday afternoon and another 2 Tuesday night.
I have them marked and dated, but I read that they don’t start developing until the mother sits or they are put in the incubator, but they were put in the incubator right away, so they will hatch a few days apart I’m guessing.
So, we have 8 eggs all together. I’m aware that I’ll be lucky if any of them make it, but we simply adore our Muscovy ducks and it would be such a blessing to add to “The Family.”
We currently have 2 males and only 1 female, as we lost our other female over the summer from a Hawk attack. It was heartbreaking 💔
I will post some more pictures later this week.
I’ve also added a photo of our incubator.

Have a blessed day.
Kindly,
Amy

Muscovy eggs are super sensitive to too much humidity. I strongly suggest that you get a humidity sensor and keep your humidity at 45% or lower.

In My opinion, I cannot say if it is fertilized or not just yet. You can check maybe around 14 days. Although I'll say it's most likely that most are fertilized! Like the others said, I can slightly see a few blood rings. Don't worry about though :) Happy hatching and post more candling pictures!
P.S. Don't candle too much!

Here are a few of today’s pictures! ❤️
