I am planning to do something controversial, eating eggs immediately after worming with Ivermectin.

I am so glad to see this thread. I recently had to deworm my poultry, and when I asked my vet how long the egg withdrawal period was, she said, "The government says 30 days." I asked what would happen if I ate the eggs, and she said it was the same medicine that doctors use to treat worms in people and that I should draw my own conclusion.

I ate some of the eggs, didn't sell them to customers or give them away, just in case. That was a great leap of faith for me, because I am one of those folks who rarely takes any kind of medication because I have a history of bad reactions to several drugs. Nothing happened immediately, but I did have some nagging concern about long-term effects.

I truly appreciate this discussion and all those who contributed -- because, clearly, most of you know a great deal more than I do. Thank you all for your points of view.

Correction. The time is actually an hour later than I previously mentioned. It is to be noted that my brain function was abysmal prior to this experiment.
That will be the effects of the Ivermectin then. A bit like smoking weed I suppose, the perception of time shifts.
You would have no problems shifting the eggs if you were to tell your customers of the generally spaced out feeling you get from eating eggs containing Ivermectin.

I'm going to confess a truth to you all. I get confused about the time on occasion because I and my chickens operate on standard mountain time. Daylight saving time messes with out heads so much that this year I refused to set my clocks forward. Therefore, my laptop tells me one time and the clock I really go by is on standard time. Therefore, when I need to interact with people, I have choices of times and sometimes I pick the wrong one. Actually, it's been working out splendidly overall.
