Wow! My god, I made an incubator today out of a glass desk and two insulated blankets! Haha, look at the little cat prints on one LOL

Note: The chicks CANNOT get hurt or burned in this 'bator. I made sure of it. It may look too low in the photo (the light), but I assure you it is very high up. The angle I took the picture with is just akward.
The temp stays at an amazing 98 degrees! Almost better than my store-bought incubator!
Now if only I had some eggs to test it with, which I don't. LOL like someone here mails them to me which won't happen because no one is THAT nice XD

So whaddya think of it?

Ill tell yah when I can see photos:-) They dont come up:-( Sounds awesome though

I can see them. Have you tested it for holding humidity? I would think the blankets might keep it pretty dry in there by soaking up the moisture and letting it evaporate to the outside Let us know how it goes. Gotta love a cheap and easy incubator!

To be honest I would worry about fire risks withall those cords, a high temp bulb and blankets. I've known too many people who lost their homes to fires, one lost theirs to a reptile lamp that was knocked down by a dog, their whole house was gutted, they lost all their pets and belongings. Please be careful.
