I just bought six chicks, Thats what happens when you go to the feed store. Five Buff Orps and one Silver Laced Wyandotte. Already some of the orps are picking on the silver laced...is this normal because she's different? or do you think they will stop once they have settled. She has a tiny little blood spot on her beak already.

It's too late for me too - already have 10 babies out there in the brooder that my DH hasn't found yet.

Wonder what he'll say when he notices??

Hopefully your chicks will stop pecking. Are you using a red light? That seemed to help with my silkies who had pecking compulsions. You may have to end up separating your SLW. Or, you can just sent her over here to me!

I bought a red light, good thing....it does seem to help now that they are under it and settled. Thank you for pointing that out.

I already named her Betty, so she has to stay. lol
