thanks... my hubby was really sweet... I have been talking about them and I was gonna wait ...hubby called me from work and told me to go ahead and order them... (i think it was because he brought home a puppy the otherday because he felt sorry for it when all the others found homes and she was all by her elf-he named her sweet baby hope)...

congrats on the awaiting arrivals. They will be there soon, just busy yourself with getting ready for them. Ordering this time of the year can be a good thing too. They should be ready to lay by early spring. I got mine in feb. and just now getting a steady supply of eggs. Good Luck and enjoy your babies.

Where'd you order your silkies from? Just idle curiosity [IMG]

I've got 5 chicks from a rainbow pullet pack in a brooder in my mudroom (pantry type area), need to take pics.

Hey, that's great news! You'll love them!

I ordered some myself for the first time this year this past Spring/Summer. I have 4 from Ideal and 10 from Cackel.

They're a lot of fun, cute and sweet! Which supplier did you get yours from? I'm only sure about the sex of the first four from Ideal I have 1 Roo and 3 Pullets. On the other 10 - I can still only guess...and they do keep you guessing!

Enjoy and keep us posted...they'll be there before you know it!
