I am afraid I didnt research very well and when I got eggs in the mail Idid not set them for 24 hours. Asa result I have several eggs that are fertile but the air pocket is not at the top, but on the side or botttom. What should I expect as far as hatching goes?I have done some assists as

i originally raised exotic parrots, but this is totally new to me. I have eggs due to hatch over the nect week and not sure the best way to tandle my goof.
    Thanks.

I think the air sac moves depending on which way you lay them.

I think you should look up some sites on egg development just to make sure.

so even if the air sac isnt at the top there is a chance they will hatch?

Quote:What I meant was that it shifts. I put my egg large end up (though on it's side, not straight up) and whenever I'd candle it, the broad part of the air sac would be facing up....each time, whether it was X-side up or 0-side up.

But I guess none of that applies if all your eggs were facing the same direction and still had air sacs in odd places [IMG]

I didn't read through all of the posts to see if there is an answer for you, but here is a thread mentioning your dilemma:
