Greetings! Where am I from? Pull out your maps ladies and gentlemen! Go to California, find San Francisco and slightly below that is my lovely town of San Mateo. No, I do not own chickens or geese.

Do I own ducks? Legally, no.

Do they live on my lawn most of the day? Yes.
Do they scream at me to feed them? Yes.
Do I feed them? Yes.
Do they poop all over the lawn? Yes.

But legally own them? No.

Why the username? I am affectionately known as the duck lady by relatives.

Thanks all for now! Bye!

Those ducks in your avatar are adorable! Sounds like they have a good care taker too!

Nothing wrong with feeding the local wildlife! I've got them all here too along with my domesticated flocks. I think the wild birds put up signs saying, "Free feed this way....just squawk for service"! LOL

Make yourself at home here and we do welcome you to our roost!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

So fun when wild birds take to living around our homes.

Enjoy those ducks!

Years back we had mallards that would stop by for a couple weeks in spring, they came back the next year also. Pretty sure it was the same hen because she would walk on the outdoor sill of our picture window . Several times a day you would see her checking on us. First time she had two drakes with her, second time only one. They knew to come to the side door and get something to eat and a clean bowl of water. They laid all over the front lawn and our neighbor came over to ask where we bought the lawn ornaments.
