I dropped one of my chicks!!!

I was cleaning out the brooder and was holding my chicks and one of them jumped out of my arms and fell on the cement. it's a 20 day old chick.

It's limping a little bit, but not screaming in pain. how do I know if it's broken anything? I feel soooo bad!!!

Most of us have dropped a wiggly chick at some point and fortunately they are pretty resilient. You can feel the chicks leg for any breaks and watch how it responds to pressure. Most likely the little thing is just bruised and has a bit of a strain. Just keep an eye on its progress.

the chick is limping just a little, but now won't come to me at all.. I feel so bad Lol!

I want them to associate my hands with good things, not with bad things!
