I found this today

I have 3 RIR that been laying since mid Feb went broody for a while and now they back to laying regularly but I found this today


keep in mine I have 3 sebrights that are 8 weeks old can they be laying already ?

I seriously doubt an 8 week old has the ability to lay an egg. I bet it's a fart egg from your RIR. Does it have a yolk inside?

Probably not the Sebrights, they're too young.

Every once and a while chickens lay what are called "fart eggs", small or weird eggs. That's probably what you have. It's not anything to worry about.

Cool I was thinking the same thing but wanted to make sure with the experts


I didn't open the egg so no clue if it have a yolk yet will let u know if it does

It had a yolk just like any other egg and it tasted pretty good as well
