Quote:EXACTLY how do you go about turning them? Does it even matter? Do you have to put all the eggs in at the same time, or add as you go along? If you add, how do you store them until incubating?

I put them all in at the same time. I put X on one side and O on the other side for turning. you can also buy a turner on ebay.

do NOT add as you go along. the last three days you must change settings and if their a few days apart, you don't have a last three days, as the chicks are different ages. and I turn mine generally three times a day and I do a 180 to turn them. put an X on one side and an O on the other side of the egg and start them all out on an X so you can keep up with which ones have been flipped

I only get a few eggs a week, can the eggs just sit on their side doing nothing for a week until I get a few more from my girls???

I dont think so as the egg needs to be turned for exersize and needs to keep from sticking

you would have to ask miss prissy about staggered hatches. there is also a link somewhere about it

I store mine in a egg carton and tilt the carton from side to side every day until I collect what I need to go in the incubator.
