    Being relatively new to the country scene, and definitely used to just going to the store and paying full price for what I need, I had to post about the great deal I got over the weekend. (only because I'm not used to this concept of seeking things out from other people and trying to barter the price down)

    I had a garage sale over the weekend. I made $200 from the sale. And what did I manage to get for my $200 (aside from getting a lot of stuff out of my garage)???

    * Automatic pig feeder that holds 300 lbs of food
    * 80 gallon pig waterer
    * (5) 6' sections of cattle fence
    * Cattle head hole (I think that's the right term - it's the thing that holds a cow in place so you can give him vaccinations, etc)
    * 500 lbs of pig feed
    * (2) bales of straw
    * (1) fresh chicken for dinner on Sunday

    I'm so excited! Whoever thought $200 could get so much???

    What a great deal! Congrats. I too made a few wheels and deals over the past weekend. I got 9 2x4x14ft.......2 4x4x14 ft for 45$ Then went to another place, and got 5 of the white fiber/plastic roof pannels...8ft long...for 60$ ( these are usualy $30 each) I felt sorta like a thief...but, was good to keep a little money in my pocket!
