I got a PIP!!! (PICTURE)

    This was my first time hatching chicks sooo its very eggsiting for me!!!
    I went to check on my eggs at 6:34pm and to my very astonishment, I saw a pip!!!! I was very surprised... Happy Surprise cuz I was getting to worry they weren't going to hatch.. SOOOOO freaking eggsiting!!!

    its small, but it's something!!!!!!!!!!
    I wonder how long its gonna take for the little guy/girl to get out. i also want to know what number he/she is...

    oooooo. now it's getting to the action part... [​IMG]

    Congratulations!!

    (Now don't be surprised when your new "hatchee" rearranges your neatly arranged incubator. It took me totally by surprise the first time. Moved EVERYTHING!!)

    Thanks... I stole... sorry I meant borrowed the idea from another member. my mom was like "you should have put the eggs closer together like in a egg. perhaps if one moved the other would feel it and pip along." i don't think it works like that.

    [​IMG] That is so exciting! Some chicks will be out within the hour, and some take up to a full day. Just be patient (funny, right?), check in on him occasionally, and get that brooder ready!

    LilMissChz - x2!!! The first one out will certainly rearrange for you and roll everyone around a bit. Then he'll fall asleep. Then he'll run around a bit more, perhaps try to "help" a buddy hatch, and fall asleep again. [​IMG]

    I got a chick!!
    But the egg shell is stuck to him/her and it's struggling to walk with it. what should i do? i think the leg is caught some how

    i think you just leave it and the chick will detach itself soon.

    congrats!!!!!! [​IMG] and yes, I would leave it be. That can happen. he is a tired little chick! but should be able to wiggle free
