I got an egg today!

I haven't gotten an egg since 1/17. We actually had to buy grocery store eggs last week

In fact, it's been so long since we've had eggs that I went ahead and bought a flat of 2 1/2 dozen Friday morning. But today, I found a beautiful brown egg in the nest box! I'm so happy! Even better, I think it might be my orpington girl. If it is, this would be her very first egg.

Thanks everyone. Collecting eggs almost always makes me grin, but after so long without any fresh eggs that one yesterday really made me grin from ear to ear! No eggs today, but there's always tomorrow. And if she lays an egg every other day I'll be plenty happy with that.
