    We just picked up my new chicks from the post office!! 29 of 'em. One died though. We buried it... ='( They came all the way from Alabama though, so only 1 dying is probably very good. But the 28 that we did get are so happy! They're really perky and running around and doing all their stuff. [​IMG] We got Red Rangers, Dixie Rainbows, Delawares, and Golden Nuggets. (We're going to keep the Golden Nuggets and some of the Delawares and breed them.... What I've always wanted!! The rest are meat chickens... [​IMG])

    Cute babies! I just wanted to know what a Dixie Rainbow is? Are they a cross? I assume from your post they might be a meat bird. Just wondered how they got their name and what they were. Thanks
