I got my 1st egg and now I haven't gotten any more...is that normal?

I have 8 hens and they free range, I noticed one of them in the coop making a lot of noise by her self, I noticed there was what looked like and undeveloped egg but the later that day The same hen was back in there and when I went out to check there was a little egg. that was 2 days ago and now I haven't seen any more. I've looked around the yard at the places they tend to hang out and haven't seen any eggs is this normal?

How old is your hen? Was this her first egg? When they start laying they'll lay an egg and sometimes not lay again for another week even. Then they'll get going properly and lay regularly.

Yes this is her 1st egg and non of the other have started laying yet they are about 18-19 weeks old.
