I was wondering with the warmer temps if those chickens would ever start laying. AND THEY DID!!!
My hen laid me a pretty light brown and the bantam hen laid her first ever egg.
She and her mate travel the coop together all the time. If she sits down he dutifully stands guard. (it's so cute)
So. Just for kicks I candled them to see what a freshie looks like. The sexlink egg has a little floatie in there. The bantam... I don't see squat. Is it cuz it's so small??
OH! and the shells are PERFECT! You should see them!
All this excitement isn't helping my headache one bit. UGH!
