Recently sent my in laws to a Silkie farm to pick up 2 two month old babies to keep my other Silkie company. I have 3 chickens that i bought from a feed store in august 2020. One was a Rhode Island Red. One a Wyan Dotte and one silkie. My daughter had pucked out the babies and we had no idea the Silkie would be left out. The other 2 had started to Bully her and so i did a little research and was told she needed her own people. That brings us to buying the 2 new babies. Well even though they came from a silkie breeder, one of them looked very different. Today i sent the breeder a pic and asked ehat kind she was and what she would look like and she told me she wasnt a silkie... she is a serama. So now that i have one 2 month old silkie and one 2 month old serama i am thinking of getting a pair of each. Can anyone help me sex them? Thank you and i am sorry for all the rambling.

I think you've got two boys there. Reasoning: the shape of the Silkie's comb and presence of wattles at this age; the color of the Serama's comb and wattles at this age.

The silkie is a boy. Developing wattles that young means that he is most likely a cockerel. And I’d say the serama is also a cockerel, his wattles and comb are very red for 2 months.

I think i must have caught the breeder on a bad day. She was extremely kind and helpful over the phone but she was quite a ways away from me so i sent my husbands parents to pick them up on their way home from a trip. They were supposed to be 2 months old when i got them but they were extremely young and then when i sent the breeder a text asking what kind of silkie i had and what she would look like, she asked ne where i got that bird. When i told her that it came from her she was very embarrassed and apologetic. Beautiful chickens though!!!!
